Desert Stone Matte – Grey Stone with Subtle Sandy Tones

Desert Stone Matte (VZ-NEW-17) is a large-format PVC wall panel with a natural stone-effect design combining a cooler grey base with subtle warm sandy tones.

This combination creates a balanced, natural appearance without strong contrasts. The matte finish reduces reflections and enhances the character of the stone design.

The large 122 × 280 cm format allows a substantial part of the wall to be covered with a single panel, creating a clean surface with a minimal number of joints.

Where Can Desert Stone Matte Be Used?

The neutral stone design is particularly suitable for bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, hallways and modern commercial interiors.

Thanks to its combination of grey and warmer tones, it works particularly well with natural wood, beige, black details and light-coloured furniture.

Technical Specifications

Desert Stone Matte belongs to a range of PVC panels with a UV-treated surface. For this product range, the manufacturer specifies a B1 fire-resistance classification.

Laboratory testing of this series also includes mechanical properties, hardness, water absorption and thermal behaviour of the material.

The Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT) reached 75.2 °C under laboratory test conditions.

Note: The panel must not be exposed to direct flame. When used behind a gas hob, we recommend installing suitable protective glass between the cooking area and the panel.

Installing Desert Stone Matte

The panel is installed by bonding it to a solid, clean and properly prepared substrate. During renovation, it can also be installed over existing ceramic tiles when the substrate is properly prepared.

For installation, you can use suitable adhesives for PVC wall panels and aluminium trims and profiles for PVC panels for finishing edges and joints.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Desert Stone Matte suitable for bathrooms?
Yes. The PVC panel itself is waterproof. When used in wet areas, joints, edges and penetrations must be properly sealed.

Can I install the panel over existing tiles?
Yes, provided the existing tiles are solid, clean, degreased and properly prepared for bonding.

Is the matte surface difficult to maintain?
No. For regular cleaning, a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaning product are sufficient.

Can the panel be cut to size?
Yes. The panel can be cut to the required dimensions before delivery.
